Basic Group Term Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance

Uplift Education provides basic life insurance and accidental death and dismemberment (AD&D) insurance to all eligible employees at no cost to you (100% paid by Uplift). These plans provide coverage equal to the employee’s annual base salary, to a maximum of $100,000. This benefit reduces to 65% of the employees salary at age 65, and 50% at age 70. Please note: Salaries for insurance purposes are as of 7/1 of the previous plan year. Any adjustments in salary after this date will be processed and affect coverage amounts for the following plan year. Supplemental Life and AD&D Insurance

Supplemental Life and AD&D insurance provides you financial security at an affordable cost. Employees can elect up to five (5) times their annual salary (up to $300,000) of coverage. If you elect employee coverage, you will have the option to enroll your spouse for up to 50% of the elected employee amount (up to $30,000), and/or your children for $10,000 worth of coverage. These coverage maximums are guaranteed issue amounts, meaning that you will not have to provide an Evidence of Insurability (EOI) form, or go through the medical underwriting process! Universal Life Events Insurance

Uplift Education also provides eligible employees with the option of enrolling in Universal Life Insurance. This plan is provided by Transamerica, and is portable (meaning you can take it with you when you leave Uplift Education!), permanent life insurance. Rates for this plan are dependent on coverage selected and employee age. Pricing even stays the same after retirement! Basic information starts on page 24 of your Benefit Guide.
