Employee Resignation Process

We are grateful you chose Uplift Education to be a part of your career journey and understand that when new opportunities arise, employees may wish to explore them.   On this page, you will find all the information you need to resign your employment with Uplift Education. If you have any questions, please contact Talent Management at people@uplifteducation.org, call 469-621-8500, or visit the websites below.

Submitting Your Formal Resignation in Frontline

  • Access Frontline Employee Service Center at https://uplift.teams.hosting/servicecenter with your Uplift username and the same password as you currently use to log in to your Uplift issued laptop.
  • In the left column, click My Employment Records, then click My Employee Resignation.
  • Enter the last day you will perform work in your current job for Uplift Education. Important: School year employees working to the last day of school should enter the last day of work prior to summer break as their last day. For SY 24-25, that will be 6/3/2024.
  • Choose your separation reason and separation type. Leave the Separation Date blank.
  • Upload a resignation letter then choose Resignation Letter in the Document Type dropdown.
  • Click Submit.

Exit Interviews

Part of Uplift Education’s exiting process is to conduct an exit session with all departing employees via our confidential online exit interview questionnaire. After you’ve completed the online survey, you have the option to request a face-to-face or phone interview.  Please take a few minutes to share your valuable feedback about your work experience at Uplift Education. We appreciate your compliments as well!

Requesting Service Records

Service Records are official State documents that serve as verification of a full-time employee’s service and State personal leave information.  To request a copy of your service records, please complete and return the following form: Service Record Request  Sub Page: Service Records Request Form.  Your form can be submitted to ServiceRecords@uplifteducation.org for processing.

We will process your service records within 30 days of you returning this form.  If emailing from your personal email address, please monitor your spam/junk folder in your email to make sure our responses have not been filtered from your inbox. Please note that as of 2022, any recently separated employee will receive a copy of their service records within 30 days of separation. There is no need to submit a request.

Salary and Benefits Continuation

School-Year Employees:

  • School-year employees who work through the last day of school will continue to be paid through July.
    • Benefits will end on July 31st.
  • School year employees who do not work through the last day of school will be paid through their last day of employment.
    • Medical, dental, and vision benefits coverages will end on the last day of the month in which your employment ends.
    • All other benefits coverages will end on your last day of employment.

Year-Round Employees:

  • Year-round employees will be paid through their last day of employment.
    • Medical, dental, and vision benefits coverages will end on the last day of the month in which your employment ends.
    • All other benefits coverages will end on your last day of employment.

You have the right to continue eligible plans under COBRA Continuation. Consolidated Admin Services (CAS) is the COBRA administrators for Uplift Education. You will receive a COBRA enrollment notification from the appropriate vendor(s) via postal mail. To enroll, you must complete and submit the paperwork within 45 days of your last day of coverage and you must make your first payment within 60 days.

Continuation of Other Benefits (not subject to COBRA)

If you participated in other benefit plans, such as Guardian supplemental health plans (accident, cancer, critical illness, and hospital indemnity), life insurance, emergency transportation, or pet insurance, and would like to continue coverage or have questions, please contact Talent Management by email at people@uplifteducation.org or contact the carriers directly.

Unused Paid Leave Payouts

Unused vacation or local days are not paid upon separation of employment.
State personal leave days can be transferred to other districts via your service records.

Continued TEAMS Access

After your employment ends, you can access your W2s and Paycheck Stubs on Frontline Employee Service Center (formerly TEAMS) for up to 3 years post your separation date.
However, you are required to register with a new and unique username as your Uplift username and password will no longer work.

Refund or Rollover of Retirement Funds

TRS Pension
For questions regarding your retirement benefits through the Texas Teacher Retirement System (TRS), you may contact them at 800-223-8778 or visit http://www.trs.state.tx.us. Should you elect to withdraw/rollover your TRS funds from your account, you can request the refund through the “MyTRS” option from the TRS website.
